The campout against gangs, drugs, and violence was a success.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Hampton Roads, Virginia - June 7, 2010

This past Friday, June 4, 2010, Rev. Wheeler of the Aaron Wheeler Group had a successful turnout for his Camp Out against Gangs, Drugs, & Violence. The Camp Out was initiated by Rev. Wheeler because he understands first hand the damage gangs can cause, while most of us never think about the local gangs, drugs, and violence until it enters our homes.

On Friday night Rev. Wheeler had a lot of supports out to help him take a stand for our community including Gubernatorial Candidate Scott Rigell, as well as guests speakers such as Mr. Alex Turner (FBI Director), James Church (President of Freedom Automotive), and Chance Wilson (President/Publisher Hampton Roads LIVE Magazine & TV Show) where on hand to speak, encourage and discuss some pertinent issues with the attending youth. The support for the event was very encouraging, everyone had a good time learning and fellowshipping with one another as people from all areas of Hampton Roads as well as supporters from Richmond, VA were in attendance.

If you were unable to attend the Camp Out please don’t miss Pastor Wheeler’s upcoming play ‘The 5th Chamber’ which is a heart filled play that recounts the true story events in 1993 when Pastor Wheeler took a stand. He stayed on a street corner for seven continuous days and nights and came face to face with death, when a gun was muzzled by God as gang members pulled the trigger four times in attempts to murder Pastor Wheeler. Director Allen Ellis brings this powerful story to us on Thursday, June 10th, 2010 staring Tony Award Nominee, Samantha McSwain and actor/singer Michael LeMelle as seen in Spike Lee’s Clockers.

Join Pastor Wheeler this Thursday, June 10, 2010 at 7:00pm at the Sandler Center for the Performing Arts, 201 Market Street in Virginia Beach at Town Center. For more information about this event please contact the Aaron Wheeler Group at 757-305-1967 or purchase your tickets
