It's the perfect time to start on those fall home renovation projects.

Now that it’s not as hot outside and summer is almost over, that means it's the perfect time to begin those home renovation and preparation projects before the cold sets in.

1) Winterize your deck by power washing away the dirt and resealing it with a sealant or stain to protect it from the cold, wet winter weather.

2) Insulate Exposed Plumbing because uninsulated lines in unheated spaces cause a large amount of power to be used and the water heater must work extra hard to heat water.

3) Make sure the roof is secure by cleaning out the gutters to save you from ice build up that can damage the roof. Also checking for any holes in the roof.

4) Upgrade doors and windows so you don’t lose heat during the winter which can increase your heating bill.

5) Interior painting is great this time of year because the summer heat is often too humid for paint to dry properly and the fall offers a good breeze to reduce paint fumes and quick drying.
