The debate goes on is it ok to wear white after Labor Day?
Everyone can remember their mother or grandmother saying you can't wear white after Labor Day. For years the debate has been going on, and it still continues today. Traditionally, the dress code was clear during the summer you can begin wearing white after Memorial Day and then after Labor Day you weren't suppose to wear it. It's thought that white clothing should be worn during the summer months to reflect light and kept you cool. And once the season ended, you should go back to wearing the darker, heavier fabrics especially in the northern part of the country.
Today it seems as though there are really no rules anymore. It's really just about making the look appropriate. Such as winterizing your white jeans from summer with boots, not sandals, and a jacket instead of a tank top. What do you think, do you wear white after Labor Day?
