Have you reviewed the recent proposals being considered by state officials that would effect voters. The proposed laws have been said to tighten voting rules which fall more heavily on young, minority and low-income voters, as well as on voters with disabilities. One such guideline would permit local election officials to invalidate a ballot simply because the voter's signature isn't legible. Another proposal would require voters to provide their house number, street name and city of residence, all as part of an effort to provide a fuller picture of their identity and prevent fraud.
