The world population now at 7 billion people
The world’s population has grown significantly over the past century which has many afraid of the effects this alarming fast growth is causing to the social and economic development of countries around the world. In 1927 it was estimated there were about 2 billion people in the world and by 1959 it grew to 3 billion; 4 billion by 1974; 5 billion in 1987; 6 billion in 1998 and today only 13 years later 7 billion. News reports recently spread as a baby girl was born in the Philippines, she became a symbol of the world's population reaching 7 billion people. Read full article
